Issue 15: Four Strategies for Smart Reading
“Reading stuff fast, after all, is not what’s important. Retaining it … and using it … that’s how you change your life.”
- Michael Masterson
Dear Epiphany Alliance Member,
I began reading the daily newspaper when I was about 10 years old. Being a curious sort, I wanted to read what was going on “in the world.” The world in which I lived day to day was much smaller then, and reading enabled me to go beyond my immediate surroundings.
As I grew older, reading the newspaper had even more meaning. My family followed baseball and so the “box scores” on the sports page made more sense. The local community articles and world news became more familiar.
