A couple weeks ago I turned 61. No big deal, right? We are only as young as we think we are … age is just a number … and insert favorite saying here. What I love about "sayings" or proverbs is they are usually right!

That is, except maybe this one: "You can’t teach an old dog new tricks."

Dear Epiphany Alliance Member,

I hadn’t played golf with Tim in a long time. I was looking forward to the two of us teeing off with the group of guys I’ve been playing with twice a month.

I walked up and said, “Hey, Tim. Great to see you.” He replied, “Same here, Bob. And I see you brought your clubs with you this time.”

Bam! I had completely pushed aside an embarrassing memory of the day I nearly arrived without my golf clubs.
